THE AI-FDE EXPERIENCE

AI can write the code.
Can you own the outcome?

Become an AI-Forward Deployed Engineer.

AI is redefining software engineering. The next generation of engineers will be valued not just for the code they write, but for the problems they solve and the outcomes they deliver.

THE SHIFT

THE FUTURE OF SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Code is becoming abundant. Judgment isn't.

AI can increasingly build what we ask it to build. But knowing what should be built, why it matters, and whether it truly works requires a different set of capabilities.

The AI-Forward Deployed Engineer (AI-FDE) represents this evolution. The AI-FDE doesn't just execute specifications. They help define the problem, architect the solution, orchestrate its execution, and own the outcome.

Five capabilities. One AI-first engineer.

Business needs, people and constraints come together to define a clear problem. Business People Constraints Clear problem

Contextualize the Domain

Understand business problems, stakeholder needs, and the outcomes that matter.

Architect the Outcome

Translate ambiguity into intelligent solutions that balance technical and business realities.

Orchestrate Intelligence

Direct AI models, agents, tools, and engineering workflows toward meaningful results.

Verify Alignment

Challenge assumptions, evaluate AI outputs, and ensure solutions meet their intended purpose.

Govern Responsibly

Embed security, reliability, accountability, and responsible AI practices into delivery.

Before you begin

A few things to know.

Do I need AI experience?

You should be comfortable writing code and understanding applications. Prior ML research experience isn't required. Refreshers are available if you've been away from hands-on work.

Are the stakeholders real people?

They are AI personas representing business, product, engineering, security and operations in a simulated client engagement.

What will I have to show?

Your implementations, design decisions, test results and responses to reviews show how you approached the work. Trumio helps you demonstrate capability; it does not guarantee employment.

For institutions.

We partner with a small number of universities each year to make their campuses AI-enabled. Platform access for every student, enablement for faculty, and a curriculum shaped with your teaching staff.
